The New College Foundation Scholarship Program
The New College Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to:
- encourage enrollment at New College Institute (NCI),
- increase the college attendance rate in the community, and
- help make college affordable.
The Foundation offers scholarships to assist students in advancing their education and improving career readiness.
Types of Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded each year based on the Foundation’s spending policy, the availability of funds, and the merit of the applications. Funds are available to students enrolled in NCI affiliated programs leading to a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, endorsement or graduate certificate.
Academic Programs
Areas of study for scholarship assistance at the NCI include Elementary Education, Social Work, Educational Leadership, Reading Specialist, Leadership Studies, Library Media, and others. Contact www.newcollegeinstitute.org or 276-403-5671 for details on program offerings.
Disbursement of Funds
Funds are paid directly to the university partner. Scholarship funds must be used within the academic year for which they are awarded. Extensions or deferments are not permitted.
